The
Craven Heifer, a traditional country Inn, some 200 years old, named
after the champion heifer, reputed to be the largest ever bred,
by the Reverend William Carr, Rector of the parish of Bolton Abbey,
a neighbouring district of Craven, in 1807. Addingham is a village
nestled in the Wharfe Valley on the banks of the river Wharfe between
Bolton Abbey and Ilkley, on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National
Park. |

"New culinary jewel on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales" - What, us ??? Last Saturday I had lunch with friends at your new Brassiere. The new decor is chic, bright yet warm, creating a friendly and relaxing atmosphere. However, I am writing in praise of my meal - Sea Bass served on a bed of crab & prawn risotto, with an optional bowl of fresh salad. I ordered it from the specials board with a little trepidation as I recently had Sea Bass at an "upmarket" Sheffield restaurant at nearly twice the price, and had been very disappointed. more>>> |

The
Craven Heifer Inn exudes all the character and charm of a traditional
Yorkshire pub, offering the perfect place for those seeking refreshment,
relaxation and excellent food. Despite the passing of some 200 years
since it was built, the Inn still still prides itself on the quality
of its hand-pulled ales and its excellent home-cooked food. Not
surprisingly, considering the name of the pub, our meat dishes are
the house speciality, but whatever you choose, our team of skilled
chefs will strive to create the outstanding quality dishes that
we have now become famous for. >>> more |
